May 7, 2008 | Inspired by TPT’s ‘Highway 100: Lilac Way” film, Karen Laukkonen developed a campaign to restore 3,000 lilacs with community sponsorship, reduce strain on municipal and MnDOT budgets and revive pride in a historic area. The project has now changed to Restore Lilac Way to document history and support restoration.
