Join us to celebrate the completed restoration of Graeser Park! Free, open to all with a concert by the Robbinsdale City Band.
Now that MnDOT’s Historic Roadside Properties Program has completed almost three years and $500,000 of detailed work, the community is ready to celebrate.
Where: Graeser Park, West Broadway & Lakeland Avenue North, Robbinsdale, Minnesota
When: Thursday, July 6, 2023 • 6:30 to 8:00 pm
What: Kids activities, T-shirt sales, gardening info/volunteer signup, and a concert at 7:00 by the Robbinsdale City Band.
Note: Bring a chair or blanket for the concert, and your own water bottle. No facilities on site.
Why celebrate? Graeser Park is the largest and now the most intact of the seven Lilac Way parks built along Highway 100 between 1935 and 1941. Its beehive fireplace is one of only two that exist, and the only one still in its original location. The rock garden is unique among Minnesota’s 100+ historic roadside properties.
