Restore Lilac Way′s mission is clear.

First launched in 2007, this volunteer civic project by Karen Laukkonen has three key objectives.

TO DOCUMENT

the history and seven roadside parks of Lilac Way on Highway 100, from Robbinsdale to Edina, MN

TO SUPPORT

MnDOT’s restoration of Graeser Park and its rare beehive fireplace in Robbinsdale, MN

TO ENCOURAGE

preservation of the Rock Island Park near Minnetonka Boulevard in St. Louis Park, MN.

The City of SLP voted YES to accept the park from MnDOT in 2023.

Built in 1939, it is all that remains of the now-lost old Lilac Park.
