Restore Lilac Way′s mission is clear.

First launched in 2007, this volunteer civic project by Karen Laukkonen has three key objectives.

TO DOCUMENT

the history and seven roadside parks of Lilac Way on Highway 100, from Robbinsdale to Edina, MN

TO SUPPORT

restoration of Graeser Park and its rare beehive fireplace in Robbinsdale, MN

TO ENCOURAGE

preservation of the Rock Island area on Minnetonka Boulevard in St. Louis Park, MN

Built in 1939, it is all that remains of the now-lost original Lilac Park. Locals also call it Monkey Island or Hidden Park.
